Justin Bell facilitates a weekly Bible study based on the book The Difficult Words of Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine.

Together, we’ll dive into some of the more perplexing things Jesus taught—and then wrestle with the implications! What did Jesus mean when he said to hate your father and mother? Did Jesus use a slur to define a Canaanite woman that came to him seeking healing? Why does Jesus bring up hellfire and damnation so much? We may not arrive at the same answers, but we're sure to ask a lot of good questions together! 

No homework or independent book reading is required. All are welcome, just show up—if you need childcare, please RSVP below.
