Every August, we work with our actual neighbor The Park Place to get backpacks and school supplies to Latine kids in the Powderhorn neighborhood. Thanks to your generosity, we surpassed our goal with 65 backpacks!

Still want to help? Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed on Sunday, August 24 in a few different ways:

• Right after church Sunday, help load the backpacks into Park Place’s vehicles (about 10-15 mins; no need to RSVP)

• Help set up the event from 2-3pm at Powderhorn Rec Center (2-3 people needed).

• Assist with the event itself from 3:00-6:30pm at the Powderhorn Park Rec Center. Roles include managing bouncy house/outdoor activities, check-in and check-out with backpacks/supplies (4-6 volunteers needed).

If you can help, please let Chloe know by Saturday night; she’ll give the list of volunteers to Park Place:
